Long: 5-6 hours. Remember when the magazines always had a “killer loop”
This is a big ride. It reaches some nice sectors that are beyond the scope of the normal 2 hours or so from Cranfield. Taking a direct line to get to the further reaches is still worthwhile, may reduce the time needed, but would still need good legs.

The ride can be followed (and/or shortened) using Centre Parcs as a start and end point.
For detailed directions please download and follow the GPS. And here are just a few notes to help you get the best from the ride.

- Don’t worry you are going the right way.
- Alternatives off road up the hill to Haynes for the really keen.
- Locate the trail behind the houses.
- Look for the gap by the gate straight over the road.
- Check which side of the hedge is the trail.
- The railway crossing is now closed, go right to the new bridge.
- In the wood there are many trails, have fun.
- Can go left at the T-junction . There are worthy bridleways S->N to reach/bypass Wrest park.
- Past the college there’s a short section of “footpath” but its not a problem.
- Last bit is hilly, there are lots of simple alternatives to finish if tired.

Seasonal? Apr-Oct suggested. Yes, it could be possible all year round and in all weathers. There are some bits of muddy bridleway which are minimised but inevitable. The route will go a little faster in summer.
Highlights: I love the avenue through the trees, it’s a section to ride when the sun is low and bright. (4-5 on the map and feature photo)
Lowlights: If anyone knows a really nice cafe, perhaps in Shefford or Biggleswade please let me know.
I’ve used ridewithgps to map the ride. Please let me know if there are any problems with the GPS.
